Central Heights holds memorial service for Sonja Guillory

On Friday, January 7 at 7:40 a.m., a memorial service was held in the field house in memory of Sonja Guillory. Guillory was an eighth grade science teacher at Central Heights since 2008, and picked up sixth grade art as the curriculum changed, which she enjoyed immensely. A memorial service was held for Guillory with the help of the student council that included donuts and worship music.

Guillory loved her students and always made sure that everyone was fed and loved. Elsa Jordan also spoke to all the students, giving some insight on the things Guillory loved to do outside of school. Jordan is a minister at First United Methodist Church of Nacogdoches, where Guillory was a member.
