Cheer squad to hold tryouts

High school cheer coach, Tonya Turnage and middle school cheer coach, Kristi Caldwell, are hosting middle school and highschool cheerleader tryouts, as well as tryouts for the Blue Devil mascot. Anyone interested is welcome and highly encouraged to try out for the 2022-2023 cheer squad or Blue Devil mascot.

Sign-ups for cheer are available in the high school and middle school offices and are open March 14 through 25. Following, there will be a mandatory tryout meeting in the elementary cafeteria on March 31, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will include all necessary information about the tryouts and cheer leading program. Additionally, optional skills training will be held April 11 through 14 from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. in the elementary gym. Finally, tryouts will be held April 22, 2022 in the elementary gym at 4 p.m. 

There has never been a designated mascot, and anyone interested could be the first to officially fill that role. The deadline to pick up mascot sign-ups is March 25, 2022. There will be a mandatory meeting held on March 31, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. The tryout clinics will take place April 4 through 7 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. After the clinics are the tryout practices, these are held April 25-28 from 3:30-4:30.  Then, tryouts happen on April 29, 2022 at 4 p.m. Lastly, summer camp will be held July 16 through 19.
