The Central Heights Beta Club organized a small recognition ceremony in between varsity basketball games on Tuesday, Feb. 1 to honor a group of teachers who have positively impacted the district. Each player on the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams nominated a teacher that they felt influenced their education and personal lives. They wrote a paragraph about the teacher that was read at the ceremony, and these special teachers were gifted a bag of Susu’s popcorn and a flower; the girls’ basketball team added a bouquet of flowers and a gift basket of their own to the teachers they nominated. Some players nominated the same teacher, and in the end, 15 educators were honored. The list of players and the teacher they nominated is as follows:
