The varsity tennis team competed in their first tournament on Feb. 22, 2024, at Lufkin High School. They played against Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Hudson, Center, Henderson, and PCA and held their own against these bigger schools. The team brought home three medals. Freshman Charlie Page won first place in boys’ singles, senior Eli Goodman and junior Landry Lykke won third place in boys’ doubles, and seniors Yaya Martinez and Shelby Sparks won the consolation bracket in girls’ doubles. The next tournament is March 1 where the team will travel to Center.
