Tech department teacher Tracy McCown was invited to join a podcast hosted by Andrea Gribble, author of “Social Media for Schools,” on Wednesday, March 6. McCown included junior tech aide Elesban Sanchez in the podcast to share their views about how they maintain social media for Central Heights ISD.

Gribble asked about what platforms were used and what specifically the students do to have a creative social media aspect to keep the school and communities connected.

Sanchez shared how she helps out with designing graphics, making Instagram reels, and updating school television slideshows for student news. She also told how her journalism class produces CHHS’s news broadcast, CHTalk, and the digital school newspaper, The Daily Blue, which can be found at chhsnew.org.

The podcast was released on Monday, April 1.
