Central Heights High School welcomes new Family Consumer Science teacher Cynthia Nichols. Besides teaching FCS, she also teaches Interpersonal Skills and Applied Nutrition Dietetics. Her goal for FCCLA is “to make us more visible on campus and the community,” and she also wants to increase active membership.
Nichols has always known that she wanted to be a teacher even as a little girl. She had always enjoyed playing teacher with her stuffed animals. She has taught public school for twenty years, private school for six years, and she even taught for ten years as a homeschool mom for her two daughters, Jessica and Jodie. Because the girls were involved in rodeo, she taught them while they were on the road. Her only son, Jackson, was a catcher for the Central Heights Blue Devil Baseball from 2012-2016.
Nichols previously taught at Tomball ISD, Martinsville ISD, and Nacogdoches ISD.
