Olivia Cruse is the new general Anatomy and Physiology teacher and Special Education teacher. She is also a middle school volleyball and basketball coach. Cruse heard about the job opening from Mr. Cox and decided to apply. In college, she did not plan on being a teacher, but took a class that made her realize she has a love for teaching. Her passion for teaching comes from getting to spread her love of science with her students and seeing them thrive.
Cruse started college at the University of Texas at Tyler for nursing, but eventually transferred back home. She received her undergraduate in biology from Stephen F. Austin and is currently working a masters degree.
A fun fact about Cruse is that she was a pitcher for a softball team that won state twice. When Cruse is not at school, she can be found walking her dogs, visiting family, traveling and going to concerts.
