This past weekend, the rising 17-year-old country singer Ty Myers performed at Banita Creek Hall. Busy concert nights at Banita Creek are nothing short of amazing, and Ty Myers’ concert was no different.
Jackson Wendell opened for Ty Myers and sang his new song “Cowboy Killer” along with many others. By the time Myers came out and started to perform, it was around 10:52 p.m. when originally he was supposed to be out at 10 p.m. He sang all of his popular songs including an unreleased song called “Worry is a Sickness” coming out September 13. He also sang two Tyler Childress songs including “Feathered Indians” and many John Mayer songs. Myers ended with his best two songs that night: “Drinkin Alone” and “Tie That Binds.”
Overall, the concert was a blast for anyone who attended. Although the hall was packed to capacity and some people were rude, it was still fun. My group of friends and I started in the crowd and eventually moved to the back where we could see better and it was not so hot. After the concert was over around 12:30 in the morning, we danced until they made us leave. When we were leaving, one of my friends, Hallie Flynn, caught sight of Myers in the parking lot, so we ran up to him, and he was nice enough to let us take photos with him. He also signed my boot, and I fangirled over that for hours.
