FCCLA held a Christmas lock-in from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on December 6. This event was planned by the officers of FCCLA. These officers include Sydney French, Bolu Odunuga, Olivia Padilla, Eden Bey, Katelyn Sparks, Nichole Jacks, Isabella Downing and Lyla Robison. This was a fun way for students to interact with one another and build community outside of the school day.
Students that are in the club were able to spend the night in the school participating in various activities. They decorated cookies, competed in minute-to-win-it challenges, played guessing games to win prizes, participated in a gift exchange, made ornaments and played hide-and-seek in the dark.
FCCLA advisor Cynthia Nichols plans to make this an annual event at Central Heights and was pleased with the turn out.
“I thought it was a huge success because half of our members participated,” she said.
