The Central Heights High School police department gained a new, unexpected type of recruit. No, it wasn’t a military soldier, but something much more adorable.
The police department received a new member Tuesday when a chocolate lab puppy arrived on the scene. This certainly was not the type of recruit that many were thinking.
The new labrador’s name is Waylon, already giving him a new type of special place in the school family. While Waylon is still only a puppy, he will be trained to assist the officers in actions to keep the school and its students safe. On top of that, seeing the little puppy romp around school gives students more joy, as nobody can say no to a puppy.
It will certainly take a while, but Waylon will eventually become a key factor in what will keep the Central Heights administration safe and secure. But for now, his bark is definitely worse than his bite.
