Over the next few weeks of April, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness, or STAAR, tests are set to take place. This test determines if the student is ready in the designated subject. There is a STAAR test for the following subjects: English 1, English 2, Algebra 1, Biology, and US History. Students must pass these tests in order to graduate.
The STAAR test is being held on the following days:
April 8 – English 1 & English 2
April 15 – Biology & US History
April 22 – Algebra 1
If a student misses one of the tests, they can make it up on one of the following days: April 10, April 17, or April 24.
