FCCLA Club competed at the FCCLA Regional Conference in Dallas, Texas, at the Sheraton Conference Center April 9-10. At this event, grades 9-12 competed in STAR events and FCSA tests.
Three teams advance to nationals in Washington D.C. and will compete on July 5-10. Senior Bolu Odonuga received first place in Career Investigation Level three, juniors Lyla Robison and Bella Downing received first place in Promote and Publicize level three and juniors Kate Sparks and Nikki Jacks received third place in Food Innovations level three.
Other competitors received awards for placing in the top five. Sophomore Bella Jenkins received third place in Entrepreneurship level two. Seniors McCray Moody and Layla Soto received fourth place in Repurpose and Redesign level three. Seniors Alexis Wilson and Zoe Williamson received fourth place in Sports Nutrition level three. Junior Madelyn Jeanfavre received fourth place in Sustainability Challenge level three. Sophomores Jazlyn Gallegos, Sandra Le and Presley Ngo competed in Focus on Children level two, junior Destinee Chapman competed in Leadership level three and sophomore Meila Splann took an FCSA test and received a silver medal.
