Teacher Spotlight: Elise Reyes
Elise Reyes joined this year’s Central Heights staff as a Spanish I and II teacher. She loves teaching this subject because it is one of her specialties. Reyes took three years of Spanish in high school, and then traveled to South America and Central Mexico to live there for a period of time. She majored in Spanish and graduated from SFA. Despite enjoying all of her classes, her Spanish I class is her favorite because the language is new to the kids. She can mold and shape them the way she likes. Reyes has had prior teaching experience at schools such as Nacogdoches High School, PCA in Lufkin, and Woden ISD. Although she is only in her fourth week of teaching here at Central Heights, Reyes says she is really liking it here. The kids are well behaved and everyone is very nice.
