Central Heights Cross Country season has started, and the team is already coming home with multiple outstanding achievements. Cross country attended the district meet on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Central High School. The meet started at around 4 p.m. and ended at about 7:30 p.m. 

The girls varsity runners who advanced to the regional meet were junior Paige Layton who took first place, junior Paris Colgan who took second place, and sophomore Ryan Lunsford who took tenth place. Although the boys team as a whole did not advance, sophomore Cole Cadwell moves on to regionals with a fourth place win. 

The girls cross country team as a whole took home  second place, advancing to Regionals. Other members of the girls team include sophomore Allison Servantes and senior Lauren Grace Ashley.  The regional meet will take place on Monday, Oct. 25,  at Kate Barr Ross park in Huntsville, TX.
