Mr. Brent Jones
Born and raised in Nacogdoches, Brent Jones is an English I teacher at Central Heights High School. Before he started teaching, Jones had quite a bit of history. While being the youngest of 3 brothers, he graduated Salutatorian from Woden High School and is the first of his family to graduate from college before the age of 24. During his time in Stephen F. Austin, he made an observation at Woden as an assignment. Last spring, Jones also co-taught a whole semester of 110 kids each day. His inspiration to become a teacher came from his Algebra II teacher. She made a subject Jones was miserable at into something a little less miserable. Thanks to the encouragement given by this teacher, Jones chose to be an English teacher. He believes that teaching English will allow him to build strong relationships with their students to see them critically grow and potentially grow more as people. With a great atmosphere and good student-teacher relationships, Jones is very excited to teach at Central Heights, and he hopes to have a great school year here at Central Heights High School.
